My Pinterest activity today was not as exciting as I had hoped but yet still got the job done. Which is a good thing. Today I cleaned my shower head and sink nozzles, with white vinegar and baking soda. Please note that I would recommend this t be an over night process. It is however sorta cool with the foaming action when you pour the baking soda into the vinegar. I would highly recommend letting your little ones watch they would probably LOVE it. Here are the thing you will need:
- Rubber Band or Twisty Tie
- 1 Cup White Vinegar
- 1/3 Cup Baking Soda
- Plastic Bag
I would recommend taking a photo of your cruddy victim before you attack it with this stuff. Here is my before photo of the shower head.
(Horrible I know... why in the world would I wash my head with that!)
First: Pour vinegar in bag over a sink. Carefully pour baking soda into bag with vinegar. YE BE WARNED! There will be an awesome foaming action when you do this.
(The foam had died down some when I took this, it was very quick.)
Second: Secure bag over shower head with your rubber band or twisty tie. Be sure it is submerged in the baking soda/vinegar solution.
Third: Let shower head soak in solution. My source says overnight or for at least 2-3 hours. If you have a scummy shower head as I do I would highly recommend overnight.
Fourth: Wash off shower head before you use it. Last thing we want is excess vinegar and baking soda on us while we are trying to get clean.
Then take your after picture. When I took my baggy down and cleaned off the shower head I didn't feel like I had much of a difference at all. Until I viewed my before and after photos. I sill don't feel a wow effect BUT it definitely put a huge dent in it. I will be following up on cleaning it again in the next couple of days to get it perfect.

I have also heard that Vinegar and Baking Soda work well with flushing drains. Just put in the soda and pour the vinegar, then watch it foam. Make sure to wait a few minutes before running water down the drain.
Well hope this works for ya'll and good night!
