Honored Dinner Guest Night

Every once in a while I'll let the kids invite a little friend to the dinner table. I have the kids prepare them a "special meal" and set their places at the table. Then we sit down and eat with them. The kiddos LOVE this and think it's awesome that their night time and playtime buddies get to have some dinner time with them. They feed them, talk to them, ask them how their meal is. It's so much fun to watch! This is a must do when you have little toddlers! Their imagination is wonderfully entertaining.
"Here is my Baby" " Here baby do you want some drink?"

Jesse love his honored guest he made him a hamburger with a soda.

"Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."
Hebrews 13:2 ESV

Mission Impossible

This was so much fun with the kids! It’s easy, and cheap.

What you need:

- A hall way

- Tacks

- And string or yarn

You know how in those Mission Impossible movies or spy movies they have those laser mazes that the agent has to go through? Well this is a lot like this.

Just tack up the string in different places on opposite sides of the hallway like this.

Make sure you don’t leave your tacks on the side of the hall that has already been booby trapped, like I did.

Also try not to let your big but get in the way while pining the string. It will pop the string around you out of the wall.

Make a start and finish sign and then let the little ones have fun!

Jesse is my little James Bond! He loved this so much he was sad when I took it down.

Cecily loved it as soon as she saw big bro doing it she had to do it as well. And she did very good. She didn't snatch the string out the wall like I thought she would. I guess watching Jesse helped.

I don’t have photographic proof of this but when Daddy got home he did it too!

I can't wait till the kids get older then I can really make this tougher with more string.

Also this would be a great prank to do over night then have some one wake up to the next morning. Maybe an April Fools prank or a Birthday prank. If you did it as a prank to an older adult fishing string may work better. HEHEHE FUN!

FUN WITH GLOW STICKS

Tonight we had some fun with glow sticks. We had about five and wouldn't you know that only two ended up working. We still had fun with only two thought.

At bath time we turned out the lights and threw them in the bath tub for baby girl to play with. It was really cool to see how they glow under the water.

(The pictues really don't do it justice)

I hated to see the glow stick just be used at bath time and waste all the glow.

So I took a Jar and the sticks...

cut them and poured the contents out inside the jar. I did this very carefully because I didn't want to be a glowing monster all through the night and there are glass shards in the sticks.

I shook the jar up and took into their room and turned the light off. The loved it and laid there and checked it out. When we were down I put it on a very high shelf and let them use it as a night light.

This would also be great when we go camping.

You could also use it as at time out jar where when they hold it they have to be quite.

Or it could be used as a talking jar. As when you are having a family meeting or your all telling stories the one who is holding the jar has the right to speak and everyone else has to stay quite and listen. When that person is done they pass it to the next person in line.

"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:16
